Privacy Policy

Seated Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Seated", "we", "us") builds restaurant software — reservations and operations, guest satisfaction, analytics and a WhatsApp waitlist — and operates this website, seated.pk. This policy covers what happens to your information on this website. It is written for the restaurant owners and managers who use it.

There are only three things this website does with personal information: it stores demo requests, it sends WhatsApp messages in the interactive demo, and it counts visits. Each has its own section below.

Information held inside the Seated products on behalf of a restaurant — its guests, bookings and feedback — is not covered here. That is the restaurant's data, and it is governed by the written agreement between that restaurant and Seated.

When you ask for a demo, or enter your email to open the interactive demo, we store what you give us so we can reply to you.

• What we collect — your name, your restaurant's name, your work email address, your phone number, which products you ticked, and anything you write in the message field. If you go on to run the interactive demo, the WhatsApp number you enter there is recorded against your enquiry too.
• Why — to contact you about the demo you asked for, to set it up, and to follow it up. Nothing else. We do not run a newsletter and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
• Where it is stored — in our database, hosted with Supabase. Access is limited to the Seated team.
• How long we keep it — for as long as we are in contact with you about it, and afterwards while it is reasonable to expect you might come back to us. You can ask us to delete it at any time and we will.

The interactive demo on this site shows you what a guest receives when a restaurant runs Seated. To do that it sends real WhatsApp messages to a number you type in.

• Only enter a number you control. Two messages are sent: a booking confirmation and, if you finish the demo, a review request.
• The first message says it came from a demo you asked for on seated.pk, and tells you to reply STOP if you do not want another. We honour that.
• The number is passed to the messaging service that sends on our behalf, and is recorded against your demo enquiry so we can follow up. It is not used for marketing lists.
• There are limits on how many demo messages one number can receive in an hour, so the demo cannot be used to message somebody repeatedly.

We measure how this website is used with Umami, an analytics tool we run on our own server rather than a third-party advertising platform. It does not use cookies, does not follow you to other websites, and does not build a profile of you.

• What it records — the page visited, the referring site, rough location by country, and the type of device and browser.
• Named events — we also count a small number of specific actions, such as opening the demo modal and submitting the demo form, so we can tell which parts of the site work.
• What it does not record — your name, your email, your IP address in a form we can read back, or anything you type into a form.

Seated is also building a consumer booking app. It has not launched, and its sign-up and booking pages are not open on this website. If and when it launches, it will have its own privacy policy covering diner accounts and bookings, published before anyone can sign up.

We use a small number of service providers to run this website: a database and hosting provider, our own analytics server, and the service that sends the demo WhatsApp messages. They process information on our instructions and for no purpose of their own.

We do not sell personal information. We would disclose it only where the law requires it.

• Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
• Ask us to correct it or delete it, and we will.
• Reply STOP to a demo WhatsApp message and we will not message that number again.

Connections to this site are encrypted. Access to the demo enquiry database is restricted to the Seated team, and the database is backed up nightly to encrypted storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we review how we handle this information as the company grows.

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects what we do with information you have already given us, we will tell you by email.
